What We Believe
"Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers." 1 Timothy 4:16

The Holy Bible. Seriously... that’s it...

Therefore we have no statement of faith or doctrinal creed besides the scriptures themselves. In every area of doctrine, theology and practice we strive to agree with the scriptures. We do this by being careful and honest in our reading. We are always striving to be closer and closer to the truth and not get set in our ways. At the same time, because our beliefs are based on the bible alone, we teach and preach with the great confidence and conviction all that the word of God commands.

“I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.”( Romans 15:14)

We develop our convictions from the scriptures through careful exegesis, or “drawing out” the meaning, of the passage. That means we strive to understand what any given passage meant to the original hearers and then apply it to our world today as individuals and as the community
of Christ. When we answer a question, we answer it with scripture, not opinion.
